Need help with deodorant problems!?

I am thirteen years old and I am always having sweat stain problems and almost every deodorant I use do nothing. I get embarrass in school and some people crack jokes on me. like some people say " she is sweating bullets."

Need help with deodorant problems!?
The condition you're suffering from is called hyperhidrosis. Having suffered from the same problem for many years, my life was changed by the discovery of a product called 'Odaban' (don't let the rubbish name put you off!). Nothing else, even the so-called 'extra strong' deodorants work like this one does. Used correctly, it completely dries up your underarms. You can buy it on line at http://www.odaban.com. A little bottle lasts for ages.

The other alternative is to have your underarm sweat glands removed by surgery.
Reply:I understand exactly where ur coming from. I have the same problem and have had it since i was about your age. I tried all the deodrants, even resulted in wearing male deodrant, still sweated no end, smelt and was embarrassed in school to even lift my arm. I tried all the little myths like using talc, washing as much as you can etc but nothing still helped. I recently brought some antibacterial dettol soap which helps kills the bacteria under your arms and leaves you feeling fresher and also some anti oderant deodrant. It was about £8 from Boots but it really does work. My best advice for you is buy some antibacterial soap, use talc (non perfumed just like a baby variety) and buy some of the special deodrant stuff, or if you are unable to afford it you should be able to get something of the equivalent from the doctor. Hope that helps. I understand exactly the problem you are going through x
Reply:try driclor deodorant
Reply:I know some women that say the only thing that works for them is Secret.
Reply:try degree ulta, bring it with u and re apply throughout school. tey hae a new deodrant by secret thats called "medicated" havent tried it, but it might be stronger. try degree and reapply, sometimes peopel sweat! tell people to stop "sweating you"
Reply:i use dove ulimate clear and it works really good. but sometimes even women sweat like men so when i really need to i use speed stick 24/7 and my armpits stay dry literally all day.

i hope this help and try not to let imature jokes from ppl get to you becuz some ppl just cant help but hurt others. misery loves company.
Reply:Best thing is to be hair free and use sure deodrant. If you want the stains out soak in a vinegar/water solution.

I sometimes have this and its when i have a very tight top on....the air cant circulate causing you to sweat so you will find if you get a loose shirt this will help also.

Remember one of the things that causes B.O. is 'stale' sweat not when you are just sweating. So shower in morning and wash really well with dove or equivalent soap under your arms a couple of times and rinse.

I hope i have been of some help to you....bless.
Reply:use some decent deodrant and not the cheapo supermarket ones
Reply:well i have like the same problem. Next time they make fun of you tell them that Orlando bloome sweats under his Pitts. i was watching the KIDS CHOICE AWARDS and he was sweating big time. you are not the only one. if they are still giving you a hard time then her is my email. puppycraze1@aol.com. you can email me if you have a problem with those kids ok.
Reply:I have had this same problem and it is horrible.

My tips are: Try using 'normal' antiperspirants regularly. (Note: there is a difference between antiperspirants and deodorants. Antiperspirants reduce the release of sweat, deodorants mask any unpleasant smell. However, sweat does not have a smell. It is only sweaty clothes that are not changed that may become smelly.)

Avoid clothes that more easily show up sweat marks. For example, as a rule, white and black coloured clothes are less noticeable when wet than other colours.

Wear loose clothing under the armpits, and preferably not made with man-made fibres such as lycra and nylon.

Also what I found really helpful was to get some 'Driclor' (there are other names, ask your pharmacist) basically you spray it on just like normal deodrant at night, and used every night for a few weeks it eventually stops you sweating during the day. After that you use it every 2 or 3 days, It does work, but I felt more comfortable also using a good ant-perspirant during the day - I find sure active really works.

Hope that helps.
Reply:Secret Brand has one called Clinical Strength. I have not tried it myself but maybe this will work for you. Everyone sweats. I wear antipersperant and still get sweaty pits if I'm warm enough. I wouldn't worry too much. If you have good hygeine , you shouldn't have to worry about smelling bad.
Reply:See your doctor about getting a prescription deoderant. There are also underarm adhesive liners that can prevent sweat from showing on your clothing (such as Sweatex or PureStyle).
Reply:I think you should talk to your doctor, I believe he can subscribe a strong deopdorant for you. I also think there is a new extra strong deodorant for people like you, check around. Maybe ask at a drug store or department store.
Reply:Hi sweetie,

My first piece of advice is to make sure your using an anti perspiarant and not just a deodorant...

a deodorant will not stop you sweating, it will just cover the odour of sweat, where an anti perspiarant will actually stop you sweating and those nasty sweat patches....

i've been a figure skater/ice dancer for 18 years now, and as you can imagine, i have to kick up a sweat!!...i personally use sanex sensitive roll on, it smells lovely and does a really great job, i've never had a problem, however hard i'm working on the ice....

Remember you only get what you pay for, so you really should buy a good quality product rather than the cheaper ones...

you often find that kids of your age, will use deodorant like "impulse" or "charlie" (or at least they were the 'in' ones when i was in school)... these arn't anti perspiarants...

you can still spray yourself with this if you like the smell, but use a roll on or something beforehand that will stop you sweating...

i really hope this helps you some
