I used to sweat alot, used deodorant, stopped for 3-4 weeks, but now its back, why?

well im 17 and i used to sweat from my underarms alot, but then i used some deodorant that says its the strongest deodorant without a prescription. it worked for 3-4 weeks. i stopped sweating and everything was good. but then started again last week, even tho im still using it, and its only in school, when i come home not a drop comes out. but right now im thinking it might be stress actually. report cards coming soon and im not doing so good. but i don't feel stressed out thats the thing. and also one time when i was gonna lose in a game i kinda got mad cause my friend screwed me and i started sweating again lol. i dont know can it be from stress even tho im not feeling at all that stressed? cuz its only when im at school and it wont be at all that hot. sorry for the long question gotta put my whole story in lol

Chances are, its your caffiene, green tea or chocolate intake. Diuretics of any kind will cause you to perspire more.
Reply:Some people become tolerant of different things they use. Try a different deodorant that has an anti-perspirant.

Not sure if stress has to do with it. It seems, oddly enough, that it is an anxiety thing.

Have you been to the Doctor about it? Perhaps prescription deodorants or creams could assist.
Reply:This is probably genetic.

Drink plenty of water to cool yourself down and keep your fluids up.

Thin-materialed clothing will help your skin breathe more easily.

Generally people sweat more around their menstrual cycle as well. This could be a contributor.

And as you said, stress could indeed be another problem.

Goodluck.

Reply:i just skimmed ur story but i think i got most of the details and my sister has that problem too and she started using "certain dry" or something like that. i'm sure u can buy it in any store they sell deodorant so try it, whats the worst that can happen
Reply:try a different deoderant, your body will adjust to the chemical make up, even same brand different scent sometimes works. Technically the same toothpaste for a period of time will lose its affect over three to four weeks.
Reply:you should take showers every day when coming home from school.

Stress DOESN'T create sweat.

It happens during growth. during those

3-4 weeks you were supposed to still put

the deodorant on. It happens XD
Reply:You could have a medical condition known as hyper-hydrosis. You might want to see a doctor about the problem, should it persist.
Reply:Cause you smell... use more deodorant...

  1. I think you should let your arms go through the days naturally and let it sweat ! Sweat doesn't mean you will have odours, you just need to choose the right type of deodorants.
Choose a deodorant that doesn’t clog-up the skin or preventing sweating.
A good deodorant is one without leaving residues, stains and odours behind is best. I've been using UARMSOL deodorant for many years now, even when I sweat, I have no underarm or armpit odours. I applied 1 pinch and it's all to it for the whole day without worries about any smell afterwards, even when I sweat, I have no odours. There's no chemicals, oil or fragrances added. No staining clothes too. There's no after sport smell or odour masking. And the best thing is I don't have to shave !
