Does anyone know an alternative for deodorant?

For females, a recent study showed a link between deodorant and breast cancer. I know deodorant is important, but it MUST be another way to get our armpits clean without contracting cancer!

Does anyone know an alternative for deodorant?
Don't believe everything you read. Be reasonable. Are you aware that there is a link between people who eat carrots and those same people having auto accidents? Anyone or company can make a case for anything. We have to be aware of the type of study that was performed. Was it a double blind study, a clinical trial, clinical study, or an abstract? In other words, how valid is the study's results. Did this article appear in a medical journal or in a "vegan" magazine. Be a little skeptical and question the things you read. By the way, all those "natural" products, crystals etc. work to a degree, but everyone that I've known who use them stink. Good luck.
Reply:baking soda.. mix a little paste.. the more water the less mess. i thin they also have an herbal type deodorant at walgrene
Reply:I saw a place in Calif. (where else) that sold a chunk of mineral salt. U shower and use the stone to wash under your arms, and it kills bacteria, (supposedly) I think it was www.realgoods.com
Reply:I just bought this stuff at Wal-mart in the deordorant section called "Spray Mist" it claims to be all natural deodorant crystals with no harmful Aluminums. Its a liquid in a small square bottle blue lable a pump spray on top. I been using it for a week or so, it seems to work. (I do shower every religiously). it costs the same as deordorant
Reply:There is a type of crystal that you can buy in the drugstores. I'm sorry I don't remember the name of it. I have used it too. I have a friend who stopped using deodorant for the same reason. But this was over 6 years ago. Just ask someone at the drugstore for crystal deodorant. If that person doesn't know find someone who does, sometimes you find staff that are not very helpful......Here are a couple of links about it. One of them has pictures of what you would be looking for.

Reply:Its not the deoderant, its the antipersperant in it. It keeps you from sweating out the toxins in your body leaving you prone to cancer cells that feed off of some types of body toxins.

you can still use deoderant, just not an antipersperant. Im 40 and doing good.
Reply:try natural deodorant it will control your body odor naturally. It's hypoallergenic, unscented, non-sticky, no staining effect and its also safe for the environment.
