Some allege the aluminum can cause breast cancer. However, each product contains it...both the antipersperants and the deodorants.

A doctor recently on Oprah said the underarm odor is caused by bacteria. Perspiration itself has no odor. His solution was to wash under your arms with an antibacterial soap (sold in liquids and gels all over the place for hand washing) and this will kill the bacterial causing the odor thus making needing antipersperants and deodorants not necessary.

I've tried it for 2 weeks now and he's right. I no longer have any underarm odor and no longer use them. If the odor should begin even a little, I rewash with the antibacterial soap leaving it on for a few minutes and voila! the odor is completely gone.
Reply:i hope not

or we will have to smell alot of arm pits
Reply:to be safe use more than one deodorant.. why?

just to divide the concentration of the same material every couple of days..good luck with health.:)
Reply:There have been reports of this happening, it is caused my the aluminum in the anti-persperant. Anti-persperiant seems to be the major culprit, stick to deoderant.
Reply:I heard it contributes to Alzheimer's.
Reply:No.

Research on cancer and the genetic code looks like it may at long last produce real breakthroughs

Reply:Yes
Reply:As yet, there is no PROVEN link between deodorants and breast cancer. However, the aluminium salts in anti perspirants can block pores that were never meant to be blocked. It's not natural to supress perspiration. I suggest you check out various body friendly deodorants. I use one I buy from LUSH. Its made from patchouli oil and waxes, smells gorgeous all day, and does not interfere with natural perspiring.
Reply:NO thats not ture. its just a myth that the first ingredient (usually aluminum) causes breat cancer. there has been scientific research and its proven just to be an old wives tale....dont worry.

breast cancer is really just genetics and other factors, not deoderant.
