How do I remove deodorant stains from my laundry?

I have yellow deodorant stains in some of my shirts, how do I remove them?

How do I remove deodorant stains from my laundry?
I have a solution that is easy, proven and affordable. Get some oxiclean. Add 1-2 scoops into a bucket, bathtub or to your clothes washer on a soak cycle. Use the hottest water that is safe for your fabrics (whites=hot, colors=warm) and let the clothes soak for about an hour. Wash normally after that. I didn't believe it would work until I tried it myself.
Reply:those are hard to get rid of... you need to use an enzyme presoak... and wash in the hottest water possible... try this site... http://tips.simplygoodstuff.com/how-to-r... and good luck
Reply:Far as I know even dry cleaning, which I've tried, will not work. It's permanent. The stains come from sweat on excess underarm hair that if trimmed back will prevent this happening again. People put all kinds of deodorants and antiperspirants over excess hair. You might as well rub it on your head since it is the skin that sweats, not the hair. Once you keep it trimmed back to about an inch, you won't have the problem again, plus the deodorant will then be on your skin where it should be, much more effective and requiring much less deodorant to be applied.
Reply:Yellow underarm shirt stains are likely caused by a combination of deodorant and perspiration. Many deodorants and antiperspirants contain aluminum salts. When these salts are combined with laundry detergent, especially in cooler water settings, they are not easily dissolved, and they remain on the fabric.

To remove the stains, try soaking the shirts in warm water with an enzyme pre-soak product or rubbing the soiled area with white vinegar. Wash in the hottest water safe for the fabric. If the stain remains, dampen and sprinkle stain with meat tenderizer. Let stand for about an hour, and launder again.

To avoid new stains from forming, always wash the shirts in the hottest water safe for the fabric. Also, allow antiperspirant to dry completely before dressing.:)
Reply:Firstly apply deodorant prior to putting on any clothing and let it dry...

Then for any staining on shirts etc - you can crush 3 aspro tablets and mix with cream of tartar powder of an equivalent amount. Then make up to a paste with some water. Apply to the stain and leave for 30 mins and then wash in usual way.

To maintain a stain free shirt - liberally pour white vinegar over shirt armpit area prior to washing.

Hope this helps,

Reply:Perspirationstains really ruin clothes taking the color out of them. But before you give up friends, try this Soak in white vinegar 1part vubegar ti 4 parts water then rinse.

So if you soak the shirts, for about 1 hour and then wash them that should do it.
Reply:Try two things: Add a 1/4 c of SimpleGreen to your wash. If that doesnt work, before drying apply SimpleGreen directly to the stains, scrub, then re-wash with another 1/4 c of SimpleGreen added to your laundry detergent.
