How to stop my deodorant from ruining my clothes?

Hey all. I've been using an antiperspirant and deodorant that seems to be ruining my clothes. Within only a few wearings of band new shirts, the pits become stained and sometimes even bleached out. This wouldn't be a huge problem if it was just cheap t-shirts, but it's happening with most all my shirts.

Does it matter which brand I use? Any recommendations?

I've been using Old Spice Red Zone Clear Gel.

My husband wears undershirts %26amp; that seems to help.

He also switched to Speed Stick Ultimate Sport for deodorant.

You also might need to pretreat the armpit area of your clothes with a stain remover like Shout before washing.
Reply:OLd spice is great but i suggest you use a powder deoderant from them as the powdered ones dont get sticky and runny like the gels and liquids obviously would and ruin your clothes....
Reply:I would like to know the answer to that one as well. I have resigned myself to the fact that it must be something to do with the chemistry of my perspiration since I have switched my deodorant / antiperspirant many times to no avail and I have even tried several more high priced brands that claim to prevent staining..... HA! I am now wearing Tshirts under my good outer shirts to absorb the perspiration and hopefully prevent staining of my good shirts. My Tshirts are stained so badly after a few weeks of use that I simply use them as cleaning rags and buy new ones. I even tried using stain remover and pre wash of all types including Oxyclean but none will even phase the terrible stained pits. Lets just face it..... my pits are the pits!

PS.... I shower every morning whether it's a work day or my day off so it's not a poor hygeine thing.
Reply:put your clothes on so they dont touch your underarms, thats what i do and i dont smell either because i realized you cant have a deodorant that doesnt leave white marks and still works all day.
Reply:Stop using it.
Reply:Try a spray that dries right away.
Reply:change deodorants
Reply:To keep deoderant stains off my shirts I would normally wipe some deoderant under my arm then I would rub it in. This works for me it keeps my shirts from staining and it last longer for me.
