Pls settle office debate about deodorant?

Is it socially acceptable to apply deodorant to the outside of your shirt if said shirt smells funny?

Pls settle office debate about deodorant?
Wouldn't a splash of cologne be a better option (that is, if you're wearing a smelly, unclean shirt to work in the first place)?
Reply:Ahh no! If shirt smell funny, the person wearing it most likely does too.
Reply:Socially acceptable? I suppose. Effective? No.
Reply:no.....
Reply:WTF? Hell no buy more shirts if u can't wash that often
Reply:it would be better to do the laundry

anyway don´t do it in th outside apply it in the inseam
Reply:That seems kind of odd to me, considering if you don't use invisible deodorant it will leave white stains. Why not just change your shirt and wash that one? Spray on cologne?
Reply:Spray deodorant would be alright in case you have a deodorant failure!!! I think that applying stick deodorant would be quite messy and unappealing.
Reply:lol. no deodorant, but i'll fess up, Spray some Febreze it's more reasonable. Least I think so, cos I do that sometimes with jeans I dont feel like washing.

But that aside I would say that if you're at the point of using deodorants on shirts, it might be time to do some laundry.
Reply:How about you wash your shirt instead?
Reply:no, take a shower dirtbag
Reply:WHAT!!!!!!!!! Where do you see this as even being a socially acceptable debate? You people are just plain nasty. If the shirt stinks that means the shirt and the person wearing it are dirty and disgusting. Use common sense and get back to work... LMAO
Reply:no i do not know
Reply:No... of course not!

I mean, come on!!!

If you got the deodorant why the heII are you going to put it on your clothes instead of on your body and then "said shirt" wouldn't get smelly in the first place!

If you got a smelly shirt there are only two acceptable options. Wash it. Or, burn it.

Now... what do you do if you somehow... magically decide that a shirt is smelly at work.

GO BUY A CLEAN FRIGGIN SHIRT! Do it at lunch... or take a break and go get something that will work for your job.

But don't stand there and smell up the place.

OK... Thank you... I feel better now for getting that out.

Have a nice day! :)
Reply:Noooooo!
Reply:EeeeW! a big NO NO!!!!
Reply:Only if it's the invisible kind. No marks, no problem, right?
Reply:Febreeze works good. There is also a fabric softener that you can spray on that is used to remove wrinkles from clothes that smells good. I guess you could try that if you're in a bind. If you notice the shirt smells bad in the morning, then maybe you should wear a different one. Definitely put your deoderant on yourself not your shirt. If you know for sure that the shirt is clean, then maybe there is a problem with your washing machine, or maybe you are letting your clothes sit to long in the washer before you put them in the dryer. That would make your clothes smell like mildew. Put them in the dryer right away with fabric softener. I like to use liquid fabric softener in the wash and sheets in the dryer. I LOVE it when my laundry smells good!!
Reply:Why wouldnt you put it on the inside where it wouldnt show?

Im guessing this was a mistake to wear a smelly shirt?

If youre in a bind, go ahead and try to deodorant it up! Honestly though, go home on lunch, wash up and wear a clean shirt if it's that bad..
Reply:No, it should be washed along with it's wearer.
Reply:If there is absolutely no alternative, change the shirt, but you really should wash it first. It just sounds really gross.
Reply:Tell Rob to quit being gross %26amp; to wash his clothing more often. I'll buy the guy some Febreeze for his backpack. He can place it next to his hunting knife.
Reply:gross I would say no. The deoderant should be put on the underarm under the shirt, putting the deoderant on the shirt will only make the smell worse, plus I'm sure it would show a stain
Reply:Outside of the shirt? ewww! Wash the shirt in Tide %26amp; Downy, the smell will go away
Reply:heck no take the dang thing off and change it. You put anything on the outside of your shirt and your asking for white stripes and funky colored underarms in the cloth.
Reply:the combination will be lousy!
Reply:Nope!
Reply:Depends on the society.
Reply:how about washing the shirt.
Reply:No, if said shirt stinks then said shirt should be washed.

or to put it another way...

putting deodorant on a stinky shirt is like putting lipstick on a pig!

(its still a pig)
Reply:no
