I am allergic to deodorant.?

If anyone who is reading this is a surgeon or know of any surgeon's please help me. I am allergic to deodorant and have been for 16 years. Everytime i wear it or even perfume under the arm I develop nasty and painful bumps. My doctor's have told me that it has something to do with my sweat glands and that the only way this can be resolved is if I have a major surgery called skin graph surgery which will remove the sweat glands and it will take me 3 months to recover from. I don't wanna have to go through that. Recently I posted a question on yahoo answers and asked if anyone knew of anything i can use that didn't give me these bumps. Someone answered me and said that my doctor's are wrong. I don't have to do this major surgery at all. They can do a minor laser surgery to remove my sweat glands. Is this true? I haven't been to the doctor yet about this question but in the mean time does anyone know if this is true. Please help. I want this to be done with. I am suffering.

Well botox might help with the sweating. But it could be the deodorant that you are using I would advice to go this website.

Search for brands that you have used, and it will tell you how safe that product could be. You could search for deodorant that are allergy free.
Reply:I dont know about the sugery thing, it really sounds possible though. But I used to have this prob and I switched deodorant brands and I was fine. It wasnt actually the deo that was uasing this it was the rough texture that puttin on deo was ruining my skin. Now I use lady speed stick because its rather soft and I run it along a papertowel b4 I first use it. I really works for me. You can always try it, maybe put it in a spot less vulnerable like your chest or leg 1st
Reply:Sorry, I've never heard of surgery to remove sweat glands. It doesn't sound like a great idea to me though unless perhaps you truly have some kind of disorder. I have two ideas that may help: First, try a completely natural deodorant like the one I'm linking you to. It says it's hypoallergenic, no aluminum chlorohydrate, and is fragrance and paraben-free. Second, they make these things that you put under your armpits to absorb sweat - the second link. I hope this helps.
Reply:don't wear doederant then!

can't you just put some powder or some arm and hammer baking soda on???
Reply:Have you tried scentless deodorant? Maybe its not the deodorant itself as it is the stuff in it that makes it smell good.
