Why does unscented underarm deodorant still have a scent?

My girlfriend purchased unscented underarm deodorant, antiperspirant, and it still smells like somegthing. What is the deal with that? I cannot place exactly what the scent is, but how can they sell something as unscented that has a scent? Help me understand answers community.

Reply:What it means is that they haven't added something just to change the smell. It sill has a scent, the scent of the various chemicals in there, but some people prefer products that don't have added perfumes.

True story. That's why the stores are always out of it or low on stock. You are smelling the human under the roll-on Hon!! @8-)

Reply:"Unscented" just means they didn't add any perfumes to it. It still has the scent of the ingredients of the deodorant.
