Girls: Did you know that Anti-perspirant and Deodorant will cause breast cancer in the long run?

Have you girls heard anything about this? If not please becareful about using too much of that stuff, especially anti-pers. It's totally unnatural to let your body stop sweating. I stop using any of anti-pers/deodorant few years ago and I never smell. Think about the old days when there was no such thing how did our ancestors do with them deodorant/anti-pers. If you need to use go buy the natural deodorant from health store but never use anti-pers. Any feedback is welcome.

Reply:i use whatever doesn't make me stink and what works
Reply:Has not been determined by the CDC or any other government agency.
Reply:No, I didn't know that! Where did you get your info? People have been using deoderant for years why hasn't this been on the new? I personally don't where deoderant as often because I don't smell either, but it makes a person feel fresh and clean just by putting it on.
Reply:That is a myth someone started on the internet-and ignorant people like you help sread it. It's not true.
Reply:Well we all gonna die of something. And if we quit using anything that causes cancer we stuck with water and vegetables only.I figure if i live to 60 I'm doing OK and I'm not gonna stink while I'm here..
Reply:I read the chance of getting breast cancer with cosmetics is really low, because the substances can't accumulate enough in the breast lymph nodes. If the carcinogenic effect were true, then it would be more violent on the armpits (unless you put anti-perspirant around your nipples). BTW this problem would affect both guys ang girls!
Reply:I would like to know How using that product causes cancer? Anti-perspirant plugs the sweat pores to prevent Excess sweat while deodorant ...well I guess that is self-explanatory...It is over a small area of skin You sweat ALL OVER....It's not preventing you from sweating all together just in that one area....Yes I understand that man made chemicals are not good for the skin, ever......and yes I will believe over time it could damage your skin ...but cause cancer..I'm not sure I buy that one....But thank for your concern over my well being....
Reply:If u ask me, EVERYTHING causes cancer in the longer run...
Reply:Whoa! I soooooooo did not know that! Thank You so much! If you were here right now I would kiss you! But did you know Baking soda under your armpits help? It does!
Reply:a lot of research has been done and its not true. so don't sweat it.
Reply:Are you sure you don't "smell"? You might want to ask some of your close friends. I've heard the same about all the cancer scare. You can go one better and put hair spray on the list...Nothing has been proven. Until it is, I plan to continue using my Anti-perspirant and hairspray. Some of our "ancestors", used body powders.
Reply:My grand mother said that the products that we put on our bodies create the smells more-so than we give off smells. Your diet and stress level creates the odors you give off. I don't use deodorant, yet I hadn't heard about it causing breast cancer. Thanks for the heads up-I'll tell my 3 adult daughters and see what their feedback is.
Reply:This is all new to me. But I totally get your point!! I also have heard that an ingrediant in deoderant is linked to alzheimers as well. Weird. I don't use the crap very often either and I smell just fine. Thanks for the info!!
Reply:I use anti-perspirant and I still sweat.

There are so many things out there that are said to cause cancer. You can't stop living your life because you might get cancer. You could use all natural products all the time and still get cancer. Unfortunately its just something that happens.
Reply:Folklore... myth.

Not clinically proved.

Stop spreading crap like this unless you know what you are talking about.

Reply:Yes and I use natural deodarant without aluminum. A study in England has claimed this and it is refuted by the US medical researchers/experts...I err on the side of caution with this. One thing to add to your comment is that there is also the same link to men.
Reply:Are you French?
Reply:woah i didnt know that. thanks
Reply:I don't use deodorant at all because I don't want to get cancer. Besides, when you take a shower, who really needs it? lol. And shave pits often. Some people have a problem with armpit smell though, so if I had to use it, I would avoid antiperspirant.

:)
Reply:matthew mcconaughey doesn't use any either. or cologne. i don't know. maybe. it seems to me that since i started using deodorant/anti-pers. at all, i sweat more. could that be a bad sign?
Reply:The connection between the two is undetermined and even if it was MORE closely connected your statemetn should be "CAN cause cancer" or "MIGHT cause cancer" but certainly not "WILL cause cancer".
